Actions for Water Conservation at Our Resort
A few days after celebrating World Water Day, today we want to reflect on the importance of conserving this precious resource and the actions our Hotel in Santa Marta takes every day to protect it.
Hotel Zuana, in its efforts towards sustainability and environmental conservation, focuses on six key areas for water conservation:
- Wastewater Treatment Plant (PTAR): We reuse hotel water for activities such as irrigation of vegetation through the treatment of wastewater and the repurposing of a portion of it for plant care.
- Efficient Pump System: We use efficient pumps to ensure proper water usage throughout the hotel.
- Water-Saving Showers: Two years ago, we completely replaced our room showers with water-saving models.
- Hand Sensor Faucets: In the public restrooms, you'll find faucets with hand sensors that turn off when no movement is detected.
- Internal Signage and Training: We ensure that our staff areas have the necessary signage for water conservation and provide training on efficient water use.
- Regular Water Quality Testing: We periodically test the quality of our drinking water, pools, and sea water.
We are aware that water conservation must be one of the main pillars of environmental care. We hope to have the support of all our guests and visitors to join efforts and use this precious resource responsibly.
